Using the measurement tool

Once you have created a measurement (point, line, or polygon), you are able to also see the associated distance/perimeter and area.

Viewing Distance Measurements

Once you have added a measurement line, select it by clicking on the name you have assigned to it in the layers menu. You can change the measurement units by clicking on the downward arrow beside the number.

Viewing Area Measurements

Once you have added a measurement then covers an area, you can access it through the layers menu. Here you can adjust how you want the distance and area to be represented in the same way you can fore a measurement line.
