Suzanne is the Founder and CEO of Human Resource Systems Group, a firm she established in 1989 to help clients implement a systems approach to managing talent. Dr. Simpson is a registered Industrial / Organizational Psychologist. Her focus throughout her forty plus year career has been on developing and implementing Talent Management systems that propel organizations to higher levels of success and encourage respectful and welcoming work environments.

She is well recognized by her peers in Industrial Psychology in Canada and sought after around the world as a speaker and facilitator on the topic of Competency-based Talent Management. She has been a trailblazer in expanding women’s opportunities both in the military and entrepreneurial and business roles. As an entrepreneur and business owner, the Women's Business Network recognized Suzanne as a finalist for the Business Woman of the Year (2007). In 2011 she won the title of the Business Woman of the Year, and in 2017 she was awarded Enterprising Woman of the Year. In 2018, she was winner of the Sara Kirke Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, recognizing leading women executives who have shown the most outstanding technological innovation and corporate leadership.

She also enjoys breeding and developing competitive show-jumping horses at the farm she owns with her husband and daughter.
