When asked to share my bio I commonly begin by describing myself as half accountant half entrepreneur. Both are equal passions of mine. Ultimately I am driven to help ease financial anxieties of founders through strategic financial guidance and support. I believe the business community plays a vital role in creating healthy and prosperous communities and financially stable companies are therefore critical to influence future well-being of citizens. I am a co-founder of numbercrunch, which provides outsourced financial operations to scaling technology startups, non-profits, and many other industries. Over the past 20 years, I have proudly served as CFO and/or financial advisor to more than 50 start-ups. As a results-oriented and hands-on vCFO, I successfully solve financial challenges to scale entrepreneurial, technology-driven companies in SaaS and tech-enabled services. An entrepreneur at heart since childhood, I have owned and co-owned a few other businesses along my journey. My most recent previous business was Givopoly, co-founded in 2012 and sold in 2018. To round out my professional life, I like to serve our community. I recently completed a 7 year term on the Board of Directors at Invest Ottawa (3 years as Co-Chair 2019-2022). Other Boards I have also volunteered on: Kanata North Business Association, APX Data Inc, CMA Ontario, Equal Voice and Algonquin College Presidents Circle.
