I first chose to be a chemical engineer because of my strong family ties to engineering, but have since found that it was my true passion. My interpersonal and teamwork skills are the biggest strengths I bring to a workgroup, which I have honed by competing competitively in soccer and hockey teams as well as group projects throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies. Engineers make great leaders and project managers, and I strive to become a leader. Energy and excellence are two facets that I bring to my company. I am optimistic, positive, and have a can do attitude, and I bring this energy to the people who work alongside me. Excellence is something that I aim for in all my work and believe a job worth doing is a job worth doing well. I have brought these two characteristics to all my work groups and in return have been awarded with many scholarships and presentations domestically and abroad. My career goal is to be leader in industry and make a meaningful positive change on the world that I can be proud of.
