After a 15-year marketing management career with large multi-national service firms, Golnaz pursued teaching future leaders in higher education in 2006. Her passion to help advance representation and leadership of self-identified women of colour at all levels in organizations is what led her to launch Accelerate Her Future in 2019, a career accelerator offering leadership and career development programming for early talent.

Through Divity Group, Golnaz provides a human-centred approach to program facilitation, learning and development, and program development services, working with clients in higher education, non-profit and corporate sectors. In 2013, she was co-recipient of a significant research grant through MTCU to study the efficacy of an experiential learning model she designed for leadership development courses.

Golnaz has presented her work in transformative teaching and learning, experiential learning, gender and diversity in the workplace and immigrant labour market settlement at the Academy of Management, CMS, STLHE, CEWIL/EWO as well as published in books and peer-review journals including the Journal of Transformative Education, Journal of Cross-Cultural Management, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion: An International Journal, and The Oxford Handbook for Diversity in Organizations.

Golnaz is passionate about the entrepreneurship ecosystem as a mentor, investor and proud funder of women-led start-ups and volunteers her time mentoring girls from diverse cultural backgrounds through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton & Hamilton.
