Janet has over 30 years of experience in the software industry. She has served on the corporate boards of a number of public and private software companies and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Cloudmark. She is a technology advisor to BridgeGrowth Partners LLC , Georgian Partners, and Centana Management, LLC.

During her tenure at IBM, she was responsible for IBM's multi-billion dollar Information Management division within the IBM Software Group.
She is a member of the Foundation Board of Directors at the State University of New York at Oneonta and the founder of the Perna-Rose Foundation for Hope.
