As Head of Technology for IEX Exchange, Tom is responsible for aligning technology priorities with business strategy and making sure IEX Exchange's trading systems maintain a high level of operational reliability and performance.

Tom joined IEX Exchange after four years as Head of Options Technology for the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), where his work overseeing the technology engineering team resulted in higher platform reliability, better performance, and improved business outcomes. Previously, Tom was the CTO of International Securities Exchange (ISE) where he was accountable for software development, QA, R&D, capacity and performance management. Earlier in his career, Tom worked as an independent consultant to financial firms helping them build trading systems for U.S. equities and options.
