Deborah Bourke is Director, Engineering Program Management at Harbinger, where her detail-oriented approach is supporting the on-time and on-budget delivery of the company’s medium-duty commercial electric vehicle (CEV). With more than 20 years of experience, Deb has held leadership roles at Canoo, Faraday Future, Robert Bosch Battery Systems, Green Charge Networks, and EnergyCS. 

Her career began in Detroit, where Deb was a battery systems design engineer for automotive, locomotive, and heavy-duty applications. Later relocating to California, Deb continued working in battery engineering at a tier one battery management system supplier and multiple EV startups. Deb joined Harbinger to move beyond passenger vehicle EV batteries to work “alongside brilliant and innovative coworkers” in transforming the medium-duty commercial vehicle industry.

Deb’s passion for electrification came after competing in and winning an electric vehicle competition at the University of Maryland, where she earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
