Alexi Charbonneau is Vice President of Chassis Engineering at Harbinger, where he and his team are focused on building the company’s groundbreaking chassis for medium-duty commercial electric vehicles (CEVs). With more than 20 years of experience, Alexi brings robust engineering experience from Tesla, SpaceX, Faraday Future, Canoo, and Honda.

Alexi’s career can be marked by innovation in electrification, Alexi co-founded Canoo, where he developed the frame, cabin, closures, and suspension. Prior to Canoo, he designed and successfully launched numerous components of the Tesla Model S, and led the Falcon heavy stage and booster separation at SpaceX, among others.  

A native of Canada and Switzerland, Alexi earned his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and was involved in the solar car racing team.
