Juan is an entrepreneur, former business executive with over 25 years of experience building technology companies from start-up to full commercialization.

Before joining BDC Capital in 2020, Juan managed the Cenovus Energy (TSX:CVE) Environmental Opportunity Venture Fund investment portfolio and co-founded Evok Innovations. Prior roles included President/COO of Beyond Compliance Inc., and 15 years as an environmental engineer and expert witness.

He is a Professional Engineer with a degree in Applied Science from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from the University of Calgary.
