Michelle is the Director of Venture Programs at Invest Ottawa, an economic development agency that delivers initiatives to fuel entrepreneurship in the city of Ottawa.

Michelle is responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing Invest Ottawa’s portfolio of programs and services for local tech companies. IO Venture Path programs have supported over 950 tech companies that have collectively raised over $1.2B in capital and created over 4,000 jobs.

Prior to joining Invest Ottawa, Michelle was a Trade Commissioner at Global Affairs Canada where she helped Canadian tech companies expand into new international markets.

Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in International Economics & Development from the University of Ottawa.
