Derek is a sustainable development and business professional who joined Marchment Hill Consulting in 2015.

Derek has over 15 years of experience working in both the public and private sectors on a wide variety of infrastructure projects (e.g. electricity transmission, water, natural gas,
highways, airports, railways, mining) in the Asia-Pacific and European regions which have covered the breadth of the development process from initial policy development and conceptual planning and business case development, right through to design, delivery and post-implementation review.

Derek also excels at business process optimisation and holds Master’s degrees in Governance & Public Policy and also Environmental Management from the University of Queensland, and a Bachelor of Surveying degree from Queensland University of Technology.
