Adam Miron, LL.D. (hon), MBA, is an entrepreneur known for joining the elite group of Canadians who have co-founded a company that reached the extraordinary milestone of a billion-dollar valuation. This multi-billion-dollar startup, which he helped to establish, was valued at $2.9B by April 2019. Adam transitioned from his operational role in 2019 to pursue other innovative endeavours.

Adam's entrepreneurial skill was further highlighted when he built Canada’s second regulated custodian for digital assets with a Trust Company in Alberta, Brane Trust, as the Executive Chair and Interim-CEO. By July 2023, the company announced it was being acquired for $9.9M.

As the co-creator of iPolitics—a digital newspaper devoted to Canadian politics—he was at the forefront of new media, and sold to Torstar in 2018.

Fuelled by a profound passion for startups and steering innovative ideas towards profitability, Adam assumed the position of Co-Chair at Invest Ottawa, sharing the platform with Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe.

In addition to his executive roles, Adam serves as the Chair of the Board for The National Capital Children's Botanical Garden and heads the Fundraising Committee for the Ingenium Foundation.

His board service also extends across a spectrum of companies, ranging from burgeoning startups to established multi-million dollar corporations. Alongside these responsibilities, Adam manages a dynamic investment portfolio, featuring several promising startups.

In 2019, Adam joined Thompson Rivers University, Western Canada's largest business school, as their Entrepreneur in Residence. Here, he collaboratively works with faculty, students, and local entrepreneurs, nurturing their potential and inspiring success.

One of Adam's entrepreneurial journies has been well documented in his book, "Billion Dollar Startup," published in 2021 by ECW Press. The book rapidly gained recognition as a Toronto Star National Best Seller and an Amazon #1, it was listed among the top 5 best business books of the year by Chapters Indigo, and garnered the Nation Business Book of the Year award in 2022.

In recognition of his significant contributions to the business world and his dedication to education and mentorship, Thompson Rivers University conferred upon him a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, in 2022.

Currently, Adam resides in Ottawa's Wellington West with his wife Meena and their three daughters, enjoying the balance between his dynamic career and vibrant family life.
