Shima has a Ph.D. in Physics from Simon Fraser University. She also completed a BSc and an MSc in Physics at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. She has worked as a Senior Research Scientist and an R&D Scientist, all in the work of Renewable Energy Research and Technology Transfer. She has published 10+ papers pertaining to nanotechnology and more.
