Scott is a Principal at Ag Capital Canada and plays a key role in the fund’s management. He grew up in Ingersoll, Ontario and spent much of his time on the family farm, a small cash crop and beef cattle operation. 

With a strong acumen for analytics, Scott completed a B.A. in Economics (Brock University) and is a CFA charter holder. He began his career working in the finance department of Maple Leaf Foods. He subsequently held finance positions in Western Canada with corporations in sectors ranging from mining to energy.

In 2018, Scott moved back to Ontario to work as Controller for several Perovich Holdings entities, including GP Capital, Mymotors and Tillsonbrands. 

Scott has been an integral part Ag Capital Canada since its inception. He is involved in all aspects of the fund’s operations, including investment processes, investor relations, banking, financial reporting, portfolio-company oversight and annual valuations.

Scott resides in London, Ontario and maintains an active lifestyle. During the summer, he enjoys kayaking and hitting the links.
