Cassandra Roberge

Business and Marketing Analyst | MBA

Hello! My name is Cassandra. I'm an MBA student in the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics at Thompson Rivers University. My passion and major is in marketing, although I've discovered that my niche is in business strategy and marketing strategy. In my undergraduate degree, I specialized in marketing and international business because they are integral parts of helping a business develop its personality, talk to customers to build relationships, and grow. I hope to start my master's in business administration in the Fall of 2022 to get a better understanding and knowledge of what it takes to manage business functions. In addition to marketing, I've gained skills in a variety of other areas from my studies such as: -How to use functions and create pivot tables, graphs, and charts in Excel -How to generate a balance sheet, income statement, and other accounting sheets -How to run hypothesis tests for data analysis -How to craft professional business documents like white papers and communication plans -How to price stocks and bonds and calculate various interest rates -How to write compelling, detailed, and informative marketing plans -How to conduct a digital audit -How to engage with and conduct research. Furthermore, I've continued to develop my research skills by analyzing various demographics, competitors, and industry trends for several papers and branding/marketing strategies. This research has extended to my work at United Way looking at industry trends and best practices to help tailor their use of storytelling as a way of communicating their mission and how best to use newsletters in the sector to communicate effectively with stakeholder groups. Likewise, I've held positions with my university's research department as a research assistant and generator ambassador. I will continue to build my research skills this summer as a community-engaged research fellow conducting research on community-engaged research, its supports and barriers in the community, and how we can improve access to community-engaged research through the Xchange Lab. I have spent a combined 5+ years in customer service. Hootsuite Certified. Hello! My name is Cassandra.
