For more than a decade, Mike has worked at the intersection of the technology and finance industry in a multitude of capacities, including co-founder, investor and consultant. Michael helped co-found Boomurang, a location based social application, that ultimately pivoted to Hovr and was acquired by Slyce. Michael is passionate about helping Canada's technology industry thrive and is always willing to help technology companies; whether it be introducing them to a potential customer or discussing the virtues and pitfalls of a specific revenue model over coffee. Michael enjoys volunteering his time mentoring or judging pitch competitions for great community building organizations like TiEQuest, ViaTECH, VentureLab & OCE. A graduate of McMaster’s DeGroote School of Business, Michael earned his M.B.A. in Finance and Management of Innovation and New Technology. Prior to graduate school, Michael obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the Odette School of Business. In his free time, Michael is an avid snowboarder and terrible hockey player.
