Salil leads Yaletown Partners. Yaletown manages $500 Million across its venture funds. Salil is a seasoned technology investor and has over 30 years of experience in the public and private technology markets globally. Prior to Yaletown, Salil was Managing Director at a leading private equity firm headquartered in New York and Toronto. Earlier, Salil was President & COO of Leitch Technology (NASDAQ/TSX and a member of the S&P/TSX Technology Index) which he helped grow to over 1200 employees in six global offices. Leitch was acquired for over $600M by Harris Corporation. Salil began his career as a corporate finance lawyer at Torys LLP. Salil has also served on the boards of, and chaired, numerous public and private companies. Salil earned a B.Sc. (High Distinction) and a law degree thereafter. Salil was a recipient of the Canadian Society of Chemistry Silver Medal. Salil chaired the TMX-backed Advancing Innovation Roundtable, which delivered its landmark report of recommendations to increase access to growth capital for Canadian tech companies.
