As Managing Director at Fengate Private Equity, Darryl leads the group’s origination strategy with active involvement in structuring and execution of new investments. In addition to origination and execution, he plays a key role in the refinement of private equity processes including fundraising, portfolio construction, fund strategy and investor relationship management.

Prior to joining Fengate, Darryl was a Senior Director at First West Capital, a mezzanine capital firm providing growth capital to North American mid-market businesses. As the Eastern Canadian lead, he supported numerous changes in ownership, strategic acquisitions, real estate investments and rapid growth situations. Prior to First West, he led the development of various specialty business segments at CIT and GE Capital and is an alumnus of GE’s Commercial Leadership Program.
