Randy has 30 years of experience in venture capital, private equity / debt investing into dozens of companies in the technology sector, as well as significant experience in the areas of corporate finance and M&A.

Randy is Founder and Managing Partner of Vistara Growth (www.vistaragrowth.com) providing creative and tailored Growth Debt & Growth Equity financing solutions to mid-later stage technology companies across North America. Vistara's typical investment size ranges from $5 million to $30 million for companies that have scaled or are scaling past $10 million+ in revenues.

Prior to launching Vistara, Randy co-founded and was Managing Partner of a family office group (2011-2015). During that time he sourced, completed and managed numerous growth capital financings with particular emphasis on the technology sector.

He previously spent six years with PwC Corporate Finance (2004-2010), most recently as a Managing Director. While there, Randy led the firm’s corporate finance activities across Western Canada for the technology practice executing on numerous corporate finance, M&A and financing mandates.

Prior to PwC, he spent over 10 years as a principal with Discovery Capital (1993-2004) co-managing its family of venture capital funds. During this time, he was responsible for structuring and managing direct equity investments and served on the Boards of a number of earlier stage technology portfolio companies.

Randy received his BBA from York University, his MBA from UBC, and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
