Sydney Hitchon

MESc, Biomedical Engineering; BASc, Mechanical Engineering

I have always had a passion for science and helping others. Starting university in the department of engineering, I quickly knew I wanted to go down the path of biomedical engineering. I really enjoyed my time during undergrad volunteering on Queen's Biomedical Innovation Team and partaking in a mini-thesis project working with kids with cerebral palsy, which led me to further pursue my education in the Biomedical Engineering Master's program at Western University. As I have recently finished my degree, I hope to get a job in the industry where I can make a positive impact! Outside of my academic career I love the outdoors. Swimming, hiking, paddling, and playing cards at my family's cottage have been some of my fondest memories. I also love to travel and hope to continue my adventures in all different parts of the world! I have always had a passion for science and helping others.
