Ashley serves as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Smile Train. She has worked with the organization in a leadership role since 2017. She currently oversees the full suite of organizational operations, including Human Resources, Legal, and Information Systems and Technology. Ashley leads the implementation of Smile Train’s strategy and, along with her team, works to develop and implement changes in Smile Train’s operating model.

Prior to joining Smile Train, Ashley practiced at the law firm of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, advising organizations on complex litigations, investigations, and intellectual property disputes. While at the firm, she was recognized for her pro bono practice and acted as Secretary of the Pro Bono Committee for the New York County Lawyers Association. Before joining Patterson Belknap, she worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Joel A. Pisano on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and for the Honorable Michael A. Chagares on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

She holds a JD from Seton Hall Law School and BA in Finance and Economics from Georgetown University.
