Robert Antoniades

Co-Founder and General Partner at Information Venture Partners & Co-Founder and past Chair at The Upside Foundation of Canada

Robert co-founded Information VP in 2014 as a buyout of RBC Venture Partners from Royal Bank of Canada. Robert joined RBC Venture Partners as a Managing Director in 2004 and led direct investments in a broad range of software and technology companies in enterprise software and FinTech. Robert also used his expertise in venture capital to assist in the development and commercialization of emerging technologies developed within RBC. Prior to RBC, Robert was a Vice President at BMO Nesbitt Burns Equity Partners and Executive Director of CIBC Capital Partners' Silicon Valley office in Menlo Park.

Robert currently serves on the Boards of Flybits, PostBeyond, Procurify, Thoughtexchange, Jirav, Arteria.ai and Nue.io. Prior boards include Q4 Inc. (TSX:QFOR), Adaptive Insights (acquired by Workday), Varicent (acquired by IBM) and ITM Software (acquired by BMC), Placemark (acquired by Envestnet), YayPay (acquired by Quadient), Verafin (acquired by Nasdaq), Infobright, Brickstream, and Igloo Software. Additionally, Robert is the past Chair of the Distress Centres of Toronto, past Chair of Flemingdon Neighbourhood Services and, past Chair and co-founder of the Upside Foundation of Canada.

Robert has a broad base of transaction and industry experience as a capital markets professional including Equity Research, Institutional Sales & Trading, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity. Robert has a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and a Certified Investment Manager.
