Mohsen Omrani

Co-Founder & CEO at OPTT, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry

I am a researcher, entrepreneur, professor, husband and father. I have a passion for solving problems, continuous education, and challenging the status quo. My most recent research stems from my interest in the brain, how it works, how it fails to, and how we can fix it. In 2006, I graduated as a medical doctor from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Immediately following I completed a Master’s and PhD in Neuroscience at Queens University. Then, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship in computational psychiatry and neuromodulation at Rutgers University. Through my graduate and post-graduate studies, I was honoured to have been awarded multiple prestigious scholarships and fellowships by the Canadian government. I am passionate about technology and its use to make life better for all others. My goal is to utilize my expertise in medicine, neurology, and technology to design tools for improving mental health. The growing demand for quality mental health care isn’t going anywhere. At OPTT, I lead a team of exceptional people to build digital mental health solutions for the population. Our team is working hard to change the way mental health care is delivered. With the use of AI technology, OPTT provides health care professionals with insights for effective care pathways. I am always looking to connect with other academics, CEO’s, and aspiring entrepreneurs. If this is you, let’s connect! I am a researcher, entrepreneur, professor, husband and father.
