Bilingual Copywriter | Conceptualizer | Translator | Editor | Lyricist | Voice-Over Artist

An avid linguist with a passion for words, I am a bilingual creative copywriter, conceptualizer, translator and editor with a passion for creating concepts and seeing them come to life!

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English - Literature and Language from the University of Jordan. Fluent in Arabic, English, and Spanish, I also have a working knowledge of French and Greek, and have studied basic levels of Swedish and Japanese to expand my linguistic horizons.

I worked as a subtitler for over seven years, translating for major clients in the MENA region including OSN, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, amongst others, honing my ability to convey a message in the least number of words.

I joined the publishing industry as a writer and senior editor for leading Jordanian magazines, including U Arabiah Magazine (fashion magazine) for which I set the format and writing style.

In 2013, I transitioned the advertising industry as a freelance copywriter for TBWA Qatar and worked as a bilingual conceptual copywriter for Leo Burnett Jordan for over 2 years, handling accounts like Samsung, Ayla Oasis, McDonald’s, and more.

Driven by a passion to restore people's faith in the aesthetics of the Arabic language, my creative works include translating pieces from Handel’s Messiah into Arabic, performed for the first time in 2014 - a historical milestone. In May 2016, I launched a YouTube channel that covers pop songs in classical Arabic; Kalamesque has garnered over 12 million views on YouTube only.

Currently, I am a Creative Copywriter for hrmny, a Dubai-based creative agency, where I craft messaging for our diverse list of clients, ranging between automotive (Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, SIXT, & GAC) FMCG (Maestro Pizza), and government entities (NSTIF by MOE). I also play a key role in the conceptualization and ideation process, generating fresh concepts to tackle briefs.
