Ali Ghafour

Founder/CEO at 2020Armor at UnitedBattleLeague. Former Canadian National Taekwondo Team

Over 3 decades I have immersed myself at the intersection of technology and martial arts.

I made my first website and started my first martial art class 30 years ago in 1993. I was 13 years old. The website was a business page for my taekwondo school with a 3D rotating gif of the club logo.

I became a Canadian national team member for taekwondo 4 times, and was in the pool of top 4 athletes nationwide to be selected for the 2008 Olympics. I retired in 2007.

I have a degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, and was founder and CTO of a ventured backed SAAS enterprise company.

My "why" is to inspire people to fall in love with martial arts so they can reach their full potential. I am the founder and CEO of 2020 Armor and the United Battle League

2020 Armor is a sports technology company that develops martial art training hardware and software, changing fundamentally how martial arts is practiced and taught at the club, tournament and home.
