Kristen McGill

I love to lead. I have a gift for spotting talent and potential. I love that aha moment when I help someone smash through their own limitations of what they believed they could do. I lean into the awkward and painful parts of leadership because that is where you will make the greatest impact. The biggest compliments I have received as a leader were that I was the heart of the company, and the voice of the people. I get a rush from inspiring a team around a vision and creating so much buy-in that they will follow me into the unknown based on what they believe we can do together. I’ve been fortunate in my career to have the right people take a chance on me at the right time and I’m determined to pay that forward to those I lead.

I am a builder. Ever since I was a child I loved creating something out of nothing. I see an idea as the parts it is made up of. I love bringing all the pieces together. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a vision come to life. I am an optimizer. While I recognize when “done is better than perfect” you won’t stop me from daydreaming about how I’ll later make that same thing better.

I am a mom. This alone has made me a more compassionate and patient leader than any on the job experience could ever teach me. I never would have imagined I’d share that here. We can say we’ve come a long way but I’ve personally faced the challenges that come with that disclosure and I want things to be different for my tiny human.
