Ethan Russo

Founder/CEO of CReDO Science at CReDO Science

My background is as a physician, board-certified in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology, but I have always held a strong interest in medicinal plants, which I gradually incorporated into my practice and research endeavors, with the aim to bring cannabis-based and other botanical agents back into the mainstream of medicine.

At the current time, I hope to advance cannabis-based and botanical therapeutics via the development of optimized chemovars and extracts, as well as pursuing novel formulations and diagnostics related to the endocannabinoid system in our new venture, CReDO Science https://credo-science.com/.

After 20 years experience in clinical neurology practice, I transitioned in 2003 into a full-time consultancy position with GW Pharmaceuticals, a British pharmaceutical company developing prescription pharmaceuticals from the cannabis plant, which I held for 11 years.

In 2015, I became Medical Director of PHYTECS, a company devoted to the research and development of medicines, supplements and lifestyle approaches to optimizing the function of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), the critical homeostatic regulatory mechanism of human physiology.

From 2015-2017, I was Director of Research and Development for the International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute.
