I’m a Software Engineer who loves leading teams on challenging programs. In my current role as Director of the Software Platform at Alert Labs, I've lead my team to success in our quest to make every building more energy and water efficient. I'm also proud of leading previous software projects in a range of industries from banking to machine vision.

My main focus is on design and coaching but I also like to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty with C++ and Java, in particular. I've also used both JavaScript and Python professionally. I'm a firm believer in agile development, not as a religion, but as a powerful set of tools and techniques. I have some letters after my name, too: P. Eng and PMI PMP. They come in handy when safety is a concern or when working with stakeholders in more traditional industries.
