Sheida is an Architect and holds a PhD in Circular Engineering from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Sheida is an expert in design optimization methodologies, decarbonization of existing buildings and improving circularity in the built environment. She has over ten years of professional experience in architecture, development and construction firms and has worked on multiple award-winning adaptation projects and net-zero carbon buildings across Canada. She has received the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada Sustainable Design Award and the Energy Council of Canada Fellowship for Sustainable Energy Innovation for her work.
