Serena Kam is a Building Performance Analyst at Adaptis, where she develops automation algorithms for energy assessments for existing and new construction projects. Before joining Adaptis, Serena worked in high rise construction management, facility management and building failure investigation. She has completed projects in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec and California. Serena is also a Master’s Student Researcher in Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Her research is focused on leveraging building performance simulation to make effective decisions about building retrofitting to improve indoor environmental quality and energy efficiency. Serena holds a bachelor’s in architectural engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a LEED Green Associate.
