Experienced international educator, policy advisor, and higher education administrator with over 20 years’ experience living, studying, and working internationally, working in a diverse set of roles in the Netherlands, Canada, Germany and the USA.

My current portfolios include leading multi-award winning teams as the Director of the Global Engagement Office (GEO) made up of International Student Advising, Go Global (exchange and partnerships) and International & Intercultural Programming focused on a variety of internationalization focused activities at UBC’s Okanagan campus.

In addition to my role at UBC, I am a Senior Advisor, Learning and Development at the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), the immediate past Co-Chair of the CBIE National Immigration Advisory Committee, an instructor/guest lecturer for CBIE's International Student and Immigration Education Program (ISIEP). I am a member of the Board of Advisors for Wayble (previously Isempower), a career ecosystem designed to support international students in the transition from studies to career. I also serve on the advisory board for the Indo Canada Education Council (ICEC), as well as the Board of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) and a member of the Okanagan Local Immigration Partnership Committee.

In 2016 I received the CBIE North Star Award for my contributions to the field of international education in Canada, the UBC Staff Award of Excellence for Global Citizenship in 2020, in 2021 the Harold Josephson Award from the Association of International Education Administrators, (AIEA) for my doctoral research and other related work and was a 2022/23 AIEA Presidential Fellow. In 2024, the "Global Pathways" at UBC Okanagan, which was designed from my doctoral research, received the BCCIE, Outstanding Program in International Education Award.
