Fernando has more than 30 years of drilling, consulting, and water resources experience with responsibilities that cover project management, organizational management, and business development throughout the mining, public, and industrial sectors. Projects managed have ranged from several hundred thousand dollars to tens of million dollars in value. The scope of projects managed has included conventional and directional drilling for water supply and mine dewatering, environmental site characterization, monitoring, permitting, and compliance. Project locations span Brazil, Mexico, the United States, Argentina and Colombia.
His experience is complemented by teaching theoretical and practical classes on well drilling techniques as an invited professor at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Fernando was previously a member of the Water Resources Committee of the Federation of Industries in the state of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN) for 4 years, a member of the Technical Committee on Reuse of ABES/RJ (Brazil), and a guest member of the Environmental Committee of ACRJ (Business Association of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil).
