Rafael Albuquerque

Diretor de Hidrogeoquímica | Water Services and Technologies

Rafael Cavalcanti de Albuquerque works on projects in the areas of hydrogeology and hydrogeochemistry. In these projects, he is responsible for carrying out visits and field trials, determining sampling and monitoring programs, interpreting data, preparing conceptual and numerical models, and preparing technical reports. He has knowledge and experience in the interpretation of hydrogeochemical and water isotope data, and in the development of hydrogeological numerical models. His master's thesis, carried out in Canada, was focused on understanding the hydrogeochemical evolution and mobilization of metals in aquifers, having received an award from the Geological Society of America for the quality and relevance of the research carried out. Rafael also teaches courses on Visual Modflow, Aquachem and AquiferTest software.
