I am a board director, consultant and advisor to technology companies who want to rapidly grow and scale. I am the former CEO of StubHub, Vivino and Kiva, which are all consumer online marketplaces. I started my career as a consultant at Bain & Company. I have experience with both early stage startups and Fortune 500 technology companies and have spent over 25 years developing strategies and achieving them.

My experience as a strategy consultant and CEO allow me to provide close and practical support as a board member and advisor to the CEO's I work with. I strive to be the board member I always wanted when I was a CEO. And I try to help the CEOs I work with to learn from my experience and avoid my mistakes.

As an operator, I created a long term vision and tie it to short term execution. I am proud to be an operator who uses clear goals, metrics and operational discipline to provide clear accountability and get things done. At all 3 of the companies I ran, we set a long term vision and then tied that to annual goals. Those goals were then broken down by department so everyone knew how they contributed to the overall success of the company.

My approach brings results. At Vivino, my team grew wine sales 2.3x in 2 years. Under my nearly 8 years of leadership at StubHub, we grew the value of tickets sold from $400 million to $3.2 billion while doubling customer satisfaction and increasing brand awareness by over 50%.

I am deeply interested in helping CEOs build great businesses with operating discipline and a dedication to customer satisfaction. Beyond online marketplaces, I am passionate about improving people's health and our environment. More specifically, I am interested in the areas of fitness, nutrition, electric vehicles, and solar and wind power.

Outside of my business pursuits, I am a husband, father, heart disease survivor and record setting fundraiser for the American Heart Association. I'm an avid swimmer and car enthusiast. And I hold dual US and Greek/EU citizenship.
