Katherine Porter

Award Winning Designer | Innovation Strategist | Founder

Katherine is an entrepreneur, designer and educator with deep expertise in design research, product development, corporate innovation, and innovation strategy. After completing a research master's at the University of Toronto, Katherine received scholarship to attended the Rhode Island School of Design where she learned the technical skills required to bring collaborative creative projects to life.

Professionally, Katherine has worked as a design and research lead in some of the world’s leading design and innovation consulting firms (Gensler Architecture + Design, Doblin, Deloitte, Communitech). In 2019, Katherine combined these two streams of experience (research and design) to win the Canadian National James Dyson award for product innovation. In 2020, she started her boutique consulting firm Porter Design Strategy Ltd., while commercializing her first lab to market venture Undu Wearables Ltd.
