I believe culture is the catalyst to deliver strategy. I am told I am optimistic, strategic and empathetic. I have served on Boards as long as I have worked as a Sustainability Executive, Architect & Strategist, benefitting me as a lifelong learner. I lead with a big picture perspective focusing Governance as relates to Opportunities and Risk Management assessment with expertise in Climate Action - Net Zero Carbon (NZC), Health & Wellbeing and Circularity. Within teams I like to unpack the complexities inherent in every aspiration and situation to identify key objectives that may not have otherwise been considered. I spent 15 years at B+H Architects who acquired the 16 year legacy of my wholly owned firm, Six Degrees Architecture and Design. My Executive experience spans across Canada to China, the US, Caribbean and Asia. With the 2018 Surbana Jurong (SJ) acquisition of B+H, I was promoted to be the 1st B+H Global Sustainability Lead working with staff across B+H as well as the SJ Group of companies. I was Lead on SJ’s Sustainability 5-Year Strategic Plan 2023-28. From 2016-2018, I was B+H’s Regional Managing Principal, Americas, from 2012-2016, I was based in Shanghai as Managing Principal, China and EVP, Asia, prior I was a Principal based in Toronto. My Board Chair leadership roles at CarbonCure, WorldGBC and CaGBC included significant 3-year Strategic Planning cycles. My architectural leadership roles on large-scale complex projects include B+H + MSA’s Mohawk College's NZC Certified Joyce Centre for Partnerships & Innovation, B+H’s retrofit of Humber College's Passive House, EnerPHiT and NZC Design Certified Building Nx, and I led the team that included 23 sub-consultants on a dozen venues for the 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games.
