We’re looking for an investment analyst and/or associate to join our growing team in Toronto. We’re accepting applications on a rolling basis and will fill the position when we find the right fit.
Job Description
Golden Ventures is looking for an investment analyst/associate to work alongside our growing team in Toronto. As an analyst/associate, you will engage in a broad range of activities including:
- Investment Process: Helping find and fund great new companies (deal sourcing, market research, financial analysis, cap table modeling).
- Portfolio Companies: Supporting the Golden Ventures portfolio companies and community (research, recruiting, events, introductions).
- Networking: Representing Golden Ventures at various industry events and within the startup ecosystem, particularly in the Toronto/Waterloo ecosystems.
The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity and point of view on emerging technologies and business models. You like to go deep when researching ideas and have a strong command of financial, growth and analytics modeling. We are looking for self-starters with a passion for technology, entrepreneurship, and all things startup.
Ideal candidates will have 2 to 4 years of experience working at a technology company, in investment banking or consulting.
The role is intended to be a 2 to 3-year experience, after which you might join a startup, launch a company, or pursue a graduate degree.
