Mechano-Therapeutics is a private biotech company spun out of the University of Pennsylvania and is supported by the Penn Center for Innovation. The mission of Mechano-Therapeutics is to offer a tunable drug delivery platform that responds to mechanical forces within the human body to deliver therapeutics in a number of clinical spaces including orthopaedics, dermatology, and physical & rehabilitation medicine. Our platform encapsulates therapeutics in mechano-activated microcapsules (MAMCs), allowing for targeted and controlled local release, which is dose sparing, biocompatible, and safer with less systemic side effects.
