Velocity Incubator is a renowned entrepreneurship program and startup incubator based in Waterloo, Ontario, originally founded by the University of Waterloo. It offers early-stage startups access to workspace, funding, mentorship, and a supportive community, helping them accelerate their growth from idea to scalable businesses. Since its establishment in 2008, Velocity has become a critical part of the Waterloo Region’s tech ecosystem, known for producing a significant number of successful companies across various sectors, including health tech, software, and hardware.

Velocity supports startups through a variety of resources, including the Velocity Fund Pitch Competition, where startups can win non-dilutive funding, and the Velocity Health program, which focuses on innovations in healthcare and medical technology. Located in the heart of Waterloo's innovation district, Velocity provides teams with access to lab space, equipment, and expert guidance, fostering an environment for innovation. While it continues to be closely tied to the University of Waterloo, Velocity serves entrepreneurs from both the student body and the broader community, making it one of the largest and most impactful startup incubators in Canada.
