Haruko has built a world class team servicing some of the largest institutions deploying digital asset capital.

Before starting their digital asset journey, Haruko’s founders spent decades at some of the world’s leading financial institutions, including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank.

There, they built greenfield high-frequency trading technologies, led FX options desks and were part of senior management, building passionate and resilient teams. The founders have a strong academic background, with doctoral and master’s degrees from the Universities of Oxford and Warwick.

With experience working at renowned traditional finance institutions like Citibank, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley as well as leading fintech firms, the team has led innovative projects on high-frequency trading products, security, infrastructure and has developed and executed cutting-edge go-to-market strategies.

Including the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, UCL, King’s College London and the University of Warwick, our team prides itself on collaborating to deliver the best digital asset technology the market has to offer.

Initially funded by the founders, we sought outside capital from blue-chip investors in December 2021. As part of this Seed round, we welcomed two of the leading investors in the financial technology space, White Star Capital and Portage Ventures, on board and their unrivalled expertise in building disruptive, innovative and transformative companies.

In March 2024, we completed our Series A round and welcomed our third investor, MMC, one of the most active tech investors in Europe. We are confident that this trio of experienced investors will continue to help us build a disruptive, innovative and transformative company.
