POKET

Enabling self-reported and community-generated data everywhere.

Poket is a customizable data collection and survey software solution. The tool offers robust offline functionality and custom incentives for participants. Aside from traditional field data collection, Poket specializes in enabling self-reported data, community-led monitoring, crowdsourcing, citizen-generated data, community-feedback loops and participatory research projects. Poket primarily works with international NGOs, businesses and research agencies who aim to collect field data for programs in agriculture, sustainability, global/public health, urban planning, financial inclusion and humanitarian crises. Poket is proudly based in Toronto, Canada and supported by various partners and enablers. Some of these include MIT via their SOLVE Initiative, the University of Toronto’s Creative Destruction Labs Program, Toronto Metropolitan University’s Social Venture Zone, Innovate Niagara, and the SVG Agrifood Accelerator. The Poket team is a recipient of the Top 30 Under 30 Developer Award for Canada, General Motors Award for “Community-Driven Innovation”, and have presented at the United Nations General Assembly, World Bank, Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA), and others for their technology's innovative approach to research and data collection. Poket has also been awarded several US-federally-funded contracts (USAID, NIH, USDA) for both domestic and international projects.
