The lunar cycle, also known as phases of the moon, refers to the visible change in the illuminated portion of the moon as seen from Earth.

This complete cycle lasts approximately 29.5 days, that is, one lunar month.

The lunar phases are 4, new moon, crescent, full moon and waning quarter.
