Concrete Flatwork Innovation was born out of a deep-rooted passion for improving the way concrete work is done. With over 40 years of experience in the pool and concrete industry, Wray Brimmer, the founder and inventor of the CRIB-IT system, has seen firsthand, the challenges and inefficiencies of traditional concrete forming methods. Throughout his career, Wray worked on countless projects, collaborating with contractors and clients alike, always seeking ways to refine his craft.
One of Wray’s biggest frustrations came from the traditional setup of forming with wood and stakes. The extensive time it took to set up and tear down, coupled with the need to source and haul materials, slowed down every project.
Not to mention, the wood itself was often imperfect—crooked boards, excessive waste from measuring and cutting, and the constant need for screws and nails added to the inefficiency. The inaccuracies in forming were a constant headache, leading to delays and unnecessary costs.
After years of dealing with these challenges, Wray knew there had to be a better way. This sparked the creation of the CRIB-IT system, a solution designed to eliminate these pain points and revolutionize the concrete forming process.
